Abstract
Abstract : The global tourism sector is currently facing various uncertainties driven by economic slowdown, geopolitical tensions, climate change, and the rapid advancement of digital technologies. These conditions have encouraged a shift in tourism development paradigms from a quantity-oriented approach to a quality-oriented approach. This study aims to analyze the role of Quality Tourism as a strategy for enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian tourism amid global uncertainty. The study employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method through document and content analysis. The research data were derived from the Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2025/2026 report and various scholarly publications related to Quality Tourism, destination competitiveness, and sustainable tourism development. The findings indicate that Quality Tourism serves as a strategic approach to improving destination competitiveness through enhanced tourist experiences, increased economic value creation, preservation of local culture, environmental sustainability, and the utilization of digital technologies. Furthermore, the implementation of Quality Tourism contributes to strengthening tourism resilience against global challenges while supporting sustainable tourism development goals. Therefore, strengthening destination governance, improving human resource quality, fostering tourism product innovation, and accelerating digital transformation are essential factors for the successful implementation of Quality Tourism in Indonesia
