IDENTIFIKASI MITIGASI BENCANA PADA HOTEL PESISIR: STUDI PADA HOTEL MERUMATTA SENGGIGI
Abstract
The coastal area of Lombok lies in the collision zone between the Indo‑Australian and Eurasian plates, which has the potential to trigger earthquakes and tsunamis; therefore, the hotel sector in this region is required to implement comprehensive disaster‑mitigation measures. This study aims to analyze the disaster‑mitigation strategies implemented at Hotel Merumatta Senggigi as an effort to realize the concept of a disaster‑resilient hotel. The method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, in‑depth interviews, and document study techniques. The analysis is conducted through descriptive qualitative analysis to examine the implementation of structural and non‑structural mitigation measures within the hotel environment. The results show that structural mitigation has been implemented through the provision of evacuation routes, assembly points, and an early‑warning system. Meanwhile, non‑structural mitigation includes the preparation of SOPs for emergency response and regular staff training. However, disaster‑information dissemination to guests and integration with local disaster‑management agencies remain limited. This study concludes that the hotel’s preparedness is already functioning well but needs to be strengthened through tourist education and cross‑sectoral collaboration in order to support the realization of a safe, resilient, and sustainable tourism destination
