DAMPAK PERKEMBANGAN PARIWISATA TERHADAP DESA NAGRAK DI KABUPATEN SUBANG
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the impacts of tourism development to Nagrak Village, Subang District. A qualitative method was employed in this research. The data collection methods were interviews with village stakeholders (administrators, hoteliers, and residents), observation of the area, and literature study. The analysis was comparative, comparing the data before tourism development and after tourism development. The results indicate that tourism stimulates economic aspect in the area. The environmental factor also affected by tourism where personal housing or garden turned into tourism supporting facilities such as villa, restaurant, or food stall, while personal house belongs to the resident becoming scarce. A lot of empty areas also turned into tourism facilities. The transformation of these facilities which in the beginning only as a supporting facility for tourism, in the end turn into a separate stand-alone attraction for the guest.
