PERAN EVENT SENJA DI DENPASAR DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN UMKM PENYANDANG DISABILITAS KOTA DENPASAR
Abstract
Event Senja in Denpasar serves as a creative public space that empowers Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) managed by persons with disabilities. This study aims to analyze the role of Event Senja in promoting inclusivity and economic empowerment for disabled entrepreneurs through participatory and community-based approaches. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Event Senja provides concrete support, including free exhibition booths, short training on product marketing and packaging, and technical assistance. Participation in this event significantly increases product visibility, entrepreneurial skills, and self-confidence among disabled MSME actors. However, challenges such as limited physical accessibility, low digital literacy, and unequal market competition remain. Despite these challenges, Event Senja is proven to be a transformative platform that promotes inclusive development and social recognition for marginalized groups. This study recommends enhanced accessibility infrastructure, continuous digital training, and cross-sector collaboration to ensure sustainability and scalability of the program
